These bakery style Blackberry Lemon Crumb Muffins are moist, fluffy and chock full of berries and lemon flavor. They’re topped with buttery crumbs that make these the ultimate breakfast treat or snack.
One of my favorite things to make for breakfast or for a little treat is muffins! These muffins I’m sharing with you today have such bright and refreshing flavors thanks to the tart lemon and the juicy blackberries. I have to admit though, my favorite part is definitely the crumb topping! Crunchy and buttery, it’s the perfect addition to these muffins.
Preparing these muffins is super simple, you’ll mix up the batter and stir in the blackberries – you can use fresh or frozen here. I love using frozen berries in my desserts solely based on convenience because they’re much easier to have on hand than fresh berries. You’ll scoop the batter into a lined muffin tin only 2/3 full – this is important because if you over-fill them, they’ll spread over the top slightly and you’ll have burnt edges. We want nice, soft muffin edges! Mix up the crumble topping and sprinkle it on top of each muffin before baking.
