Brownie Batter Dip

Brownie bater flavored dip. Need I say more?

Brownie Batter Dip - Sprinkle Some Sugar

This brownie batter dip and I go waaay back. This month I’m celebrating Sprinkle Some Sugar’s first year of life in the blogosphere and I just can’t control my excitement!! I decided that I would re-vamp some of my old recipes and update their pictures because lord knows lots of them need updating! This dip is still one of my favorites! I love how easy it is to make and you can literally dip anything you want in it and it will taste awesome. Plus, it tastes like brownie batter.. Hello?! You can’t go wrong here people.

Brownie Batter Dip - Sprinkle Some Sugar

My favorite things to dip in this luscious bowl of love are strawberries (#1), pretzel crisps and graham crackers. Sometimes I even throw some chocolate animal crackers or chocolate graham crackers in the mix if I want to change it up a little bit. The possibilities are endless!
This brownie batter dip is so simple to make with ingredients you most likely have on hand. Usually when I make this dip I have everything but the dipping stuff so it makes for an incredibly easy party snack! You just whip all of the ingredients up until smooth and voila. A creamy, chocolatey, delicious dip that actually tastes like brownie batter! I’ve tried so many recipes for brownie batter dips with just “ehh” results but this one is a true winner!
This dip is always such a huge success where ever I bring it and I always have more than one person asking for the recipe! I just know you’re going to love it.

P.s. – Do you notice a change in my photos?! I FINALLY got my hands on a DSLR and a great lens for Christmas and I’m not looking back. Best investment made for my blog and this is the first recipe I’m posting with photos taken from it!

Brownie Batter Dip

Yield: 8-12

Ingredients:

8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter
7 tbs cocoa
7 tbs flour
2 tbs dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3-4 tbs milk
2 cups confectioner's sugar

Instructions:

In a large bowl, cream the butter and cream cheese together until smooth with no lumps. Beat in the cocoa, flour, salt and brown sugar and mix until combined. Stir in the milk and vanilla. Add the confectioner's sugar one cup at a time. Whip dip for another 2 minutes until completely smooth, creamy and slightly lightened in color.

Serve dip right away. If you want to make it ahead, store it in the refrigerator for no longer than 24 hrs. Allow it to sit out for 30 minutes so it has time to soften and whip it up with a hand mixer again just before serving.

Oh wow, YUM is all I can say when looking at that dip! It sounds so delicious and your photography of it is amazing. This would be so delicious with strawberries. I think I’ll have to whip some up for my boys birthday, I’m going have a little side bar when people can pick and choose what they want and I think this dip with some fresh fruits would be an absolute winner. Thanks for sharing!

We don’t have enough of this kind of thing in the UK! I love the idea of dipping strawberries into a naughty chocolate brownie dip! I love that it’s easy too, and my boys would love it. They’d love it AND be okay to eat it, unlike the raw mixtures with eggs in that I bake ready for cakes and they try to eat! Yum! Congratulations on your DSLR, I love mine, his name is Bert

Oh my gosh this looks so absolutely amazing. I love eating brownie batter, even though you’re not supposed to. So this looks like a perfect solution. I’d love to try this out sometime soon.

So much for that portion control goal for 2015. I have a feeling if I make this nobody in my household will stick to their diets. I am loving the great photos and presentation as well. I am thinking that this will be a great item to take to a church function, family get together, bridal shower, or any other social function that I may get to attend in 2015.

I have always wanted to make a brownie dip but I never have. I like how creamy it looks, and I totally would use strawberries to dip in it! Or…maybe bananas and pineapple. The possibilities are endless. Nice recipe adaptation too. Something Swanky has some serious dessert recipes!

My favorite treat as a kid was frosting in between graham crackers and dipped in milk like a cookie. OMG did you take me back. Now I need some frosting! I’m going to the store tomorrow. I have the graham crackers already. My son eats graham crackers and chocolate milk as an unhealthy snack. Break up the grahams and pour chocolate milk over it and eat it like cereal. Soo good!! Junk food at it’s best!

It’s funny that I see this now because I was just salivating over a chocolate chip cookie dough dip that I came across on Pinterest. The brownie batter dip sounds like something I’d like to try too. I love how one of the ingredients is cream cheese.

So much for a diet now, this looks amazing, I want it in my mouth now! I don’t have anything to make this so sad. haha. Seriously thought, I would eat this all day and get a horrible tummy ache and end up putting on like 5 pounds. Love it though!
