While I love my store-bought coffee creamers, it’s always nice to take the time to make a homemade version. I always love making things like this at home because I know exactly what is in it and it is incredibly easy! Before I get into the recipe, I have got to tell you guys about how to make the best coffee you’ve ever tasted. Have you ever had a pour-over coffee? It is so worth the extra time it takes to experience the fresh cup of coffee a pour over makes.
This Mr. Coffee® At-Home Pour Over, is easy to use and makes it super simple. There’s a step-by-step screen guide to walk you through exactly what to do and how much water and coffee grounds to add. I know before using this, I would honestly just guesstimate how much coffee and water and I would always either wind up with a weak tasting coffee or coffee that is so strong it feel like you have a new patch of chest hair. It really brings out the true flavor of the coffee beans by using optimal coffee brewing temperatures and the correct amount of coffee and water!
Mr. Coffee® has always been focused on delivering great-tasting coffee at home – always staying true to taste! Also at the center of some of life’s greatest moments at home – I know in my household, we’re always enjoying family time together and having company over and 90% of the time it is with a cup of coffee in our hands because well, CHILDREN.
You can see in the photo above, I chose to make 6 cups, and the built-in scale measures how much coffee grounds to get the perfect amount. The little check mark to the right means I have exactly enough coffee grounds so I was good to go!
Once the kettle is hot, you’ll pour the water in – it will alert you to stop when you’ve added too much water at one time, and then you’ll keep going once all of the water is poured in.
The last step is drinking the coffee, obvi! Now here is where the homemade coffee creamer comes in. Everything is made right on the stove. You’ll heat your milk and cream and once hot, you’ll whisk in the caramel sauce until smooth and melted through. The vanilla is added last once the creamer is removed from heat. This creamer can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a month! It is sooo delicious – I know you guys are going to love it.
In a small saucepan, heat half & half and milk until hot. Pour in caramel and whisk until completely combined. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour into an airtight container and store for up to 4 weeks. Shake well before using.
